I recently celebrated my birthday. This is one occasion that I always look forward to, for it tends to reinforce the value of self-importance, reminding me to love myself unconditionally. So I actually celebrated my birth month- the entire span of August. The birthday, as always, was a day full of moments to cherish. While most of the people expressed their best wishes, few kept up with their friendly notoriety reminding me of yet another year deducted from my life span. Of course their sarcasm had a light-hearted vibe, but well, even it was meant to be taken at face-value I would have filtered it out of my memory.
