Bohemian Monochrome: Dubai Diaries

Travelling can be highly rejuvenating. Work, targets, those endless thinking hours and resulting stress tends to take a toll on the quality of your life. So taking occasional breaks is a must. I recently took a week-long trip to Dubai and made the most of a long awaited holiday! Sun, sand and the sea- a trio that puts you into a relaxing mood even as you think about it! Well I had similar plan when I went over to the Jumeirah beach, but the experience was even better than the trio I thought about! The weather was cool and cloudy, with a soothing breeze. Blonde hair, big eyes, frilly frocks and high heels, childhood memories of a girl will surely have all of these. We grew up in a world of fantasy, where dolls were our first group of friends. Out of the plethora of dolls available around the world, there is one beauty that has ruled our hearts for decades- BARBIE. With a flash of pink innocence Barbie made its way into millions of hearts, making beautiful memories with its wonderful fantasy stories. The  fashionista doll was created by Ruth Handler and first launched on 9 th March 1959. (Source: Wikipedia). Hence, 9 th March is its official birthday. I got my first Barbie at the age of three and till date, I have always been mesmerized by the doll and its lovely world. So this year, I decided to celebrate my favorite doll’s birthday by dressing up like her!
