A Walk With Nature

“The world makes you stronger,
Reality makes you hard;
But let that feather-like heart beat in delight,
   Let your innocence stay alive.”
                                                     -Bhavna Narang

Heya! A cheerful greeting to all! After another fun-filled week, I’m back with a new post. Many people who interact with me on a regular basis ask me the secret behind my never-ending happiness. I keep hearing questions like-
“What’s so special?”
“How do you put up a show?”
“Even I want to be so happy always. Tell me the secret!”

Well, really there’s no secret. No one has a perfect life and no one is an exception to this fact! When I was schooling, one of our teachers once told us, “Life is not a garden of roses. But it’s not a garden of thorns either.” That sentence keeps popping up in my mind whenever I face difficulties. It reminds me that the bad phase will soon end. Of course it eventually does, but the memories leave a mark of bitterness that have the capacity to steal away the innocence and sensitivity in a person. Soon we tend to become rigid, keeping emotions at bay, letting the calculative zone of our brain over-rule and start seeing things only from our own perspective. Over the years, this bitterness creeps into our subconscious mind thus making us cynical.
Honestly I don’t find such a life worth living. Even if all the success, power and luxury in the world are at one’s disposal, a wrong mindset will ruin it all.

To be happy always, I regularly detoxify myself from negative emotions and the bitterness left behind from every problem encountered. Connecting to nature is best way to let your happy-self be intact. When nature can bring difficulties, it can heal too. Meditation is one effective way of detoxification. Also, I like observing and appreciating every element of nature. The beauty of its green cover, colorful flowers, shades of the sky, the sun, the moon and every other component of nature soothes the eye, the mind, heart and the soul. Apart from this, I surround myself with things that have a calming effect on my mind. This dictates selection of my wardrobe components as well. Most of my wardrobe components have flowers, butterflies, dolls and happy quotes.  Each of these things adds to my happiness level throughout the day. The off-shoulder lacy pink dress in the pictures above is one of the many pink outfits in my closet. As I mentioned about colours in one of my previous posts, to me pink is the colour of joy, chirpiness and innocence. And of course, off-shoulder outfits have become a wardrobe staple these days! The little red rose choker paired with the outfit partly blends with the dress and partly stands out. Keeping accessories minimal is another trend which coincides with my love for simplicity and elegance. To me, this is a perfect blend of style and fashion!

When you’re happy, you radiate positive energy. Your facial tissues are more relaxed and that makes you look more beautiful. And styling includes beauty, isn’t it? So work on your mind first, for that is where style originates.

Stay Calm, be Beautiful.
Happy Styling!!

Love,
Bhavs
