2016- Rising of The Girl Boss

Time flies, not to throw us off track,
But to take us along to conquer our dreams.

Hey beautiful souls! Hope you all had a fantastic Christmas! With the New Year round the corner, I took a quick look-back to the magical year. I believe year endings call for retrospection and introspection and so indeed I did both.
The year 2016 has been a tremendously generous year, bringing in blessings beyond my expectations! From a memorable vacation that I had been planning since a long time, to professional growth and so much more; this year has blessed me on professional and personal fronts equally. It has even taught me a lot about the right attitude for life, which I thought should be shared with you all.

The Attitude of Dare
When you dream, you should have the willingness to take steps in that direction. Break free from your routine, challenge your limits and venture out into the unknown. You have the reins of your life in your own hands, so take it ahead in the direction that you want to.  How many times do you plan a venture but something stops you? That ‘something’ is your own fear- fear of failure. Well, your fear will surely turn into reality if you don’t try at all! So dare to step out; dare to explore the unknown; dare to be different.
The Attitude of Victory
Every dream has its own share of hurdles, some would  be natural while the rest ‘created’ ones. While we face the natural ones with a neutral mind, the ‘created’ hurdles bring a feeling of hurt. Sometimes it would be the most unexpected people that go out of the way to end your journey. If this happens, do not waste a single moment cribbing, crying or getting angry. Face it, no matter who is at the other end; you have to keep going. This is about your goal, your dreams and not about the hurdles created by someone else. If such people give you sleepless nights, use that time for growth. Keep your emotions balanced. Compete with yourself. Chase excellence and all hurdles will vanish, because your hurdles will never be strong enough to climb up to the peak of excellence!
So each time you encounter any kind of obstacle, just tell yourself:
“I’m born to Win. Period.”

The Attitude of Faith
An eternal foundation that keeps us all going is ‘faith’ . The attitude of faith governs the attitude of dare and victory, for without faith you will never be able to take a single step. Believe in the Universe. Look at all the times that it saved you, helped you and took care of you. Instill yourself with gratitude and leave all your worries. The Universe is and will always be there on your side.  At the end of 2016, I see myself at a higher level of positivity than where I was at the beginning of this year. This growth will definitely go on for the rest of my life.

Talking about fashion, following the mantra of ‘Be Yourself’, my wardrobe is and will always be something that appeals to me. Style is a completely personal characteristic. In order to be different, you must follow your own heart and mind. To me, white denotes success. The pictures above were clicked on a day when I was celebrating the successful completion of a project. Hence, the white jacket.  The shrewdness of the world should never get into your soul. My love for flowers and butterflies and nature in general, is still intact. Hence the floral printed trousers. The ensemble is teamed with golden sneakers and golden framed glares to keep the look playful.

Before I sign off for the year, I want to thank each and every one of you for reading my posts and appreciating them. Your support keeps me going and I shall keep writing and sharing my thoughts and ideas for years to come!
Thankyou !!

Have a Great New Year!
Happy Styling!!

Love,
Bhavs
