Four Years Of Blogging

Hola! It a delight to be writing a new blog post, especially on completing four years of blogging. I had been planning a different photoshoot for this one, but since the last few days , the weather seemed to be determined to foil my plans. Making a window out of the rainy mess, I just managed getting a few pictures clicked on the terrace.

When I started blogging, I researched a lot about the content that one must post and sharing pictures everyday on social media was one of the essentials. I followed many such norms, and I confess that soon blogging became a burden!

In this anniversary special post, I want to share some changes adopted in my content-creating journey, trying to break free from the norms of the profession. Firstly, I still see writing and sharing pictures as a hobby and not as a full-time career and that explains why I don’t have a specific schedule for publishing new posts and why I don’t share Instagram pictures daily. I create content only when I feel up to it; for in end- a hobby is supposed to make you happy!

Also, I don’t endorse too many products. That one main thing which I have come to realize in this four-year journey is that to be an Influencer, you must follow what you preach. Being true to yourself is the essence that creates the right impact of every message that want to you convey to your audience.

And lastly I have learned that even if you are a fashion blogger- it’s okay if you don’t own 500 outfits and 200 bags. If you are a fitness influencer- it’s okay if you cannot do a 100 kg dead-lift or the inverted stand. If you are a beauty/makeup blogger- it’s okay if you don’t have over a dozen eye-shadow palettes. Just confidently present who you are, genuineness is always appreciated!

It all began with sharing style tips and wardrobe ideas, but then eventually I saw the blog and my growing social media profiles as platforms for sharing content beyond fashion and styling, something that would benefit people in different spheres, accentuating their quality of life. So often you’ll find quotes on positive thinking on my profile, and well, even my daily workout stories! Each time I get messages like “Thankyou for sharing this quote. It helped me”, “After seeing your workout videos I have joined a gym”, I feel my blogging has been successful J

So far, it has been an amazing journey. Thank you for being a part of it!

Love,

Bhavs
