Life will start surprising you!

Each day I as I wake up, the first thing I do is thank God
for this life. There is abundance of so many things, things that is a dream for
millions of people, I feel blessed; I feel like a Princess. Over these years, I
have also learnt that your life is your own gift, your own responsibility. You
are ultimate ruler of your life. The success, the failure, the happiness, the
struggle, the pain, it is all yours. In the end, it will be your own life story
that will flash before your eyes.
On the other hand, your life has many other lives attached to it- your family, friends, boss, colleagues, clients, associates, neighbors and plenty of other categories of people. Being social animals, you tend to crave for social acceptance and this craving may drive you to sacrifice your own share of happiness. You lose your master self, the ruling Princess in you and gel into the crowd. Slowly you also train yourself to get used to the nuisance that comes with it. Those minor insults, sarcasm, dominance, being taken for granted; it all starts automatically flowing into your system. You train yourself to let go, to let go more than it is necessary. You choose not to respond for fear of fights, being rejected and being called a rebel. The parasite of acceptance eats away your real self and by the time you realize the harm, it may be too late to respond.

It took me a while to understand, that in order to be really
happy, you must first be loyal to your own self. So I started treating myself
as a Princess. My goals, my dreams, my likes, the way I’m treated, it all
matters. My wishes matter a lot to me and I do my best to fulfill them. I also make
sure that people treat me well and those who don’t, should not get away with
it. Letting go is inevitable, else the world would be caught up in constant
wars. But it’s equally important to draw the line correctly. Being ignorant
about a certain thing, being inefficient in an activity or having any other
limitation does not make anyone an inferior species. Every human deserves to be
happy, deserves to be respected and deserves to be treated at par with others.
Life gives you what you really ask for. So, I demand the
best! Dishonesty, manipulation and insults, no matter how small, are never
overlooked. As much as I respect people
senior to me, I make sure their seniority doesn’t give them a ticket to cross
my “let go” boundary. I realize my shortcomings, but I never let anyone serve a
gossip platter about them. There are boundaries set for every category of
people. As I give respect, I demand it too.
I am a Princess.
So ladies, keep your chin high. Keep the crown in place. Style begins with a strong soul. Believe in yourself. Be yourself.
Happy Styling!
