Winter Sun And The Frizz

"You have the power to create your own blissful world"

Ola beauties! I guess by now most of you must be out of the ‘celebration’ mode and back into the reality of work and targets and the same old routine. Well for me too, it’s the same- interesting work and enthusiastic targets!

This year I have decided to grow and get better in every sphere of life. Be it  jewelry designing, writing, styling, fitness and any other activity that I take up. I have also decided to experiment more with my looks and share more styling tips with you all.

The Vivacious Look:
In the pictures above, the outfit is a royal blue boat-neck dress. This blue dress can also be worn as an off-shoulder outfit, but the winter chill directed the boat-neck style. I’m a big fan of plain dresses. So I keep picking up and hoarding them as and when I find the ones matching my style.
Teaming up accessories- Blue and pink together make a lively combination. So I teamed up the blue dress with pink heels and pink mirror shades. Being a jewellery designer, I stand by the “just one catchy piece of jewellery” guideline. Hence I added a light blue bow charm bracelet that had a hint of bling. Your accessories should always be of a different shade than your outfit if you want the accessories to be highlighted well.
The look was completed with bright pink lip colour and to uplift the look further, I added a bouncy hairstyle!

Frizzy Locks
Usually I don’t work much upon my hair, leaving them with their natural waves. I don’t prefer too many chemicals or heat treatments. The curly/frizzy look in the pictures above was created without any damaging treatment.
To get this hairstyle:
1.     Shampoo your hair and leave them to dry naturally for 15 minutes.
2.     Take small sections of your damp hair and braid them individually ( I made 10 braids in all) The braids should be 1 cm wide for best results.
3.     Secure the braids individually with small rubber bands.
4.     Leave the braids for 7-8 hours. I left them overnight. Don’t worry; the braids if made properly will not open up.
5.     After a few hours, press the braids flat with a hair iron for longer lasting curls. (optional)
6.     Open up the braids and comb them lightly with a wide-toothed comb. Do not use a hair brush.
P.S: Do not apply hair serum when you want to make this hairstyle.
This hairstyle can be tedious, depending upon how many braids you make. But the end result is vivacious! I am totally in love with this bouncy look and would definitely be repeating this hairstyle multiple times!

Winter has completely set in and the temperature has been drastically dropping down these days.  With such chill, the sun looks so soothing! One of the best things do in winter is to feel the warmth of sun rays over your face. Connecting to nature and witnessing its beauty has become a habit. It helps me instill gratitude into my life.
Talking about gratitude, I want to sincerely thank each one of you for reading and appreciating my posts. Stay warm, stay blessed!

Happy Styling!!

Love,
Bhavs
