Opulent Gratitude


“The Magic- by Rhonda Byrne”: a book that I read over 4 years ago and instilled its ideology into my thought process. The book talks about gratitude, about being thankful for each and every little thing that has been gifted to you by the Universe. My journey of thankfulness began with conscious training that I imparted to my mind, thereby slowly letting gratitude seep into my soul which today feels one with the Universe.

On my recent family trip to Dubai, we took a Limousine ride. I’ve never been crazy about cars (the secret is that they all appear same to me). But the ride was indeed an amazing experience. It covered the Presidential palace and downtown Dubai, with an external tour of Burj Khalifa.


The Plush Look:
I picked up a plain wine coloured high-neck dress. This outfit can be carried off equally well for a daytime outing as well as for an evening party. For the daytime look, I paired it with neutral coloured accessories. Like I mentioned in my previous post, if you want to travel light it is better to carry a pair of multicoloured accessories as well a pair of neutral coloured accessories as these can be easily coordinated with almost every outfit. Fed up of carrying heavy shopping bags around, I just picked up a brown casual clutch and added beige coloured heels to the ensemble. Make-up was kept minimal, with maroon lip colour matching the dress. The ensemble looked a little bland, so I added a red and maroon bling statement necklace to complete the plush look!






Alternatively, this dress can be paired with black ankle boots, black bag with a high ponytail and dark brown lip-colour for a bold look. It can also be teamed with silver heels, diamond studs and a sparkling silver clutch, with hair styled into soft curls and red lips, for an evening party.

Luxury brings happiness when it is wrapped in gratitude. Make the most of what you have. Richness, possessions, success and knowledge are all relative terms, but happiness is always absolute!

I know that I keep adding philosophical stuff to my fashion posts and I hope you all like the combination. I believe you can look good only when you feel good about yourself and your life.

 So, Rejected? And... Feeling dejected? I  don't like these words but this rhyme fits well. Welcome to the world of non-acceptance! Rejections, no matter how insignificant, are usually painful.
