The Butterfly Life
Time is an amazing creature. It just keeps stepping ahead,
moment by moment, bringing about endless changes everywhere. We sometimes don’t
realize how things get altered around us and when we look back, we see that a
lot has changed. We sometimes want to go back and replay or alter what happened
in those moments, but ‘Time’, the powerful creature just keeps taking us ahead
along with it.
While physically you are forced to go ahead with time, your
mind tends to go back and ponder over the past.
It walks into a loop that grips you in the bygones. Whether those
moments were good or bad that’s a different story, those thought processes
eventually put you into a mixed bag of emotions that are mainly dominated by
sadness, anger, hatred and regret. So even while you’re remembering a good
thing, you tend to feel sad that those moments have now passed away. While what
all happens to you when you remember the bad moments, I need not elaborate.
Time can also be a scary creature, if you start over-thinking
about its next move. The uncertainty of the direction in which time will take
you ahead tends to keep your mind gripped with fear. So there you can fall into
a future projected loop or may be a train of thoughts that take you at places
where the sight of the future looks horrible. In normal language we call them
future assumptions, things which exist only in your mind and may be far
different from what is actually going to happen.
So your mind, if living in the past or in the future, will be
a big pain to your life. It will just take you away from the present, where
time has given you plenty of opportunities to tame it and guide it towards
where you want to step ahead. It is only when you live in the moment, that you
see the beauty of time and realize that it is in fact one of the best creations
of the Universe. Live like a butterfly- the beautiful creature that flutters
around in glee celebrating every moment of its existence. Breathe in the beauty
of every moment. A butterfly’s fluttering wings is an indication that happiness
is always Here and Now.
Seize every moment of life and make the most of it, for that is when you truly live!

The
Wardrobe:
This time, I tried a casual look for a friends’ outing.
Whenever you create a look, you must first decide the final outcome required. I
wanted a soft look, not very catchy. The brown shaded dress has subtle prints
and is quite simple. So I needed a colour pop to add some liveliness to my ensemble.
I chose a pair of multicoloured butterfly shoes. Those butterfly shoes can be
called a statement accessory. As I have mentioned in my previous posts,
statement accessories must be styled very carefully. Usually coordinated accessories in terms of
bags and shoes tend to complement an outfit, but these shoes are a little loud
and I wanted a softer and subtle look. Hence I added a neutral coloured sling
that was almost merging with my dress. The make-up too had neutral shades, with
light brown lip colour, slightly smokey-eyes and peach blush. You can carry off
smokey-eyes in the daytime if the eye-shadow base is of a softer hue, like
peach or light brown. I omitted any hair-dos and left my hair loose, which is
my usual style.
Well, sometimes a colour pop looks like the odd-one-out
element in an ensemble. So I put on a multi coloured bracelet to complement the
shoes without making the overall ensemble loud and catchy.
I hope you liked this simply casual look and my ideas about
living the butterfly life.
I have a lot more amazing ideas to share with you all. Will
post them soon!
Till then,
