Each day when I wake up, my first goal of the day is to be better than what I was yesterday. We’re all meant to grow and make the most of life. Recently I attended the VLCC Style Statements event held at the VLCC Centre in Ahmedabad. It was an interactive session with Ms. Sushmita, the Marketing head of VLCC and make-up experts. There I got to know about advancements in skin and hair treatments. I also realized that VLCC is a lot more than a slimming centre.

VLCC that stands for Vandana Luthra Curves and Curls is a complete wellness and styling centre. From advanced skin treatments that are tailored to your DNA, to customized diet plans, spa treatments and make-up for all occasions, VLCC has it all.
Being a part of the fashion industry, my main area of attention was make-up and hair styling. The make-up experts at VLCC are always careful while choosing the right products for different skin types. During the interactive session, they also taught us how to select the right base colour. To select the perfect shade for your skin tone, apply a small amount of base on half of your forehead. The shade you select should be either merging with your skin tone or it could be half a tone lighter. Choosing a very light shade will give a mismatched and unpleasing look.

Also, good make-up begins with good skin. It is necessary to have smooth, healthy and lustrous skin to enhance your look after make-up. So instead of hiding open pores with an extra layer of primer or foundation that can give you a cakey look, or applying extra concealer to even out patchy skin, it is better to treat your skin for open pores and dark patches.
