Plain Jane in Style!

Hey all!! After a highly active week I’m back with a new look! These days I had been attending lots of formal events and causal get-togethers, and styling is about looking presentable everywhere! So there I was, each time getting decked-up in different styles of outfits, statement jewelry, colorful clutches and bags and plethora of heels. So on one of these events, I just decided to do away with all striking stuff and opted for a plain Jane look, making sure that it wouldn’t compromise on my style quotient.

The event was a brunch party during the inauguration of a wedding shopping festival in the city. Given the early hours of the day, I wanted to have an emsemble that had softer hues. So I picked up my favorite peach-beige long flared skirt. I wanted to avoid adding too many colours and so I paired it with a lacy white top.  Beige heels were chosen to match the skirt. Now of course, this was too plain for an outing. So I added a silver oversized sling bag and a honey-grey stone statement choker. I usually prefer to wear one piece of statement jewelry rather than wearing multiple pieces of ordinary accessories. The look was completed with a natural shade of lip-colour.

After all the ensembles that I wore during the week, this was a total contrast. Hence I decided to write about this look. We usually tend to retract from whatever comes in excess. Like if you’re eating out continously for many days, you will crave for home-made food. Similarly when you see excess of colours and glitters for a long time, your wardrobe may start looking cluttered and chaotic. You would then want to overlook the trendiest stuff lying there and end up picking up the basic stuff. When you feel that way, don’t stop yourself. Go ahead and choose what comforts your mind. As I said earlier, style is a connection you have with your own self. You can look stylish even in a pair of denims and a basic t-shirt. The only condition is to have a proper combination of clothes and accessories and most important, carrying yourself with confidence! So select what makes you feel comfortable and step out in style!
